Hi friends,

I usually read the posts for having a better immigration process. But now, it is time for me to do something!

I haven't submitted anything about immigration. But, I finally decided to apply for being a skilled immigrant. Now, it is time to ask some significant questions!

I've been working for the Turkish Government's broadcasting association in Turkey (The name of the association is TRT, the biggest one in this sector.) for 7 years as a voice actor. I have 10 years' experience including the previous private studios which have no longer exist. Moreover, I have worked on different projects as a "film animator" (just as exactly declared in Long Term Skill Shortage List and ). And I am also a pro-musician as a performer and a composer.

I can easily have some evidence about the "voice talent" job. However, I cannot have any evidence about the "film animating" job, because the companies which I have worked for are no longer exist. I searched but couldn't find any records as an evidence.

The good news about me is, I have a "job offer" which is in the Long Term Skill Shortage List, and in an identified future growth area. My offer is about "2D and 3D film animating" but I will also take care of "voice acting" stuff (as a director) and musical side of our productions.

What do you offer me to do about the "relevant work experience" evidence? How can I prove my experience on "film animating" which will be my first duty in the company I will work for? Being also a "voice director" in our future projects will be so important as an "animator", isn't it? And then, I can easily send my current "demoreel CD" as an evidence or can work on a new demoreel which is just for my case officer. :laugh It is not problem for me, really, I can do it, I am very fast on this! :yes

What do you think about this? Will gathering all this infos sufficient for the case officer to make a positive decision?

And the last question; how long does it take to have a full assessment from NZQA for my 4-years-degree in Economics? Please consider that I'm from Turkey. :( If it is not so easy for me to have it before the ITA process time limit, I won't claim anything about my qualification.

Best wishes.
Taylan. :cheers

We had the same problem re evidence. We ended up getting people we worked with to give us references to say we were working together for the dates that needed covering. Are you still incontact with anyone who could do this for you? It had to be on some sort of headed paper did not matter if it was there present company. Are they still listed on the web/yellow pages as we printed this off, and any other paperwork from your past company.

We lived in North Cyprus, Kibris to you, so its very dificult getting paperwork over. Emailed copies were fine for our case officer.

If you wait 2 years you can apply with just your job in NZ as experience.

good luck

Hi Angelonthemove :)

You mean that if I have some ordinary references which contain just start-end dates, job's description, and the sign from my old or closed companies, I can prove my experience, don't you? Is that sufficient according to my future case officer? Will s/he accept my condition without asking any P60's, payslips, contract, etc..? Please say "YES"!

If you wait 2 years you can apply with just your job in NZ as experience.

How should I go to NZ for waiting, with Work Visa/Permit Category?

Thanks for the supporting post. Take care.

How do you think about LTBV for me? Is it hard to have if I open a company and work successfully for 1 year? It would be so beneficial to move that kind of production-animation job for NZ. I will be able to employ tens of people there. I will need a brilliant animation team!

What do you think about LTBV?

P.O. :( Sorry for the second post, I accidentally pressed the button to generate a new post! I will use "Edit" option new time.

:uhoh here we go.

How you all doing guys? Had medicals (seemed to go ok, pick up the forms on Friday).

Next hurdle to get over is gathering evidence of OH's work history. Have claimed 15yrs relevant experience however:

OH's 1st employer who he completed his apprenticeship with - not to put to fine a point on - sadly no longer with us (OMG). Have his indentures & P60 he got when he left - will this be enough?

2nd employer was local authority - do not keep records for more than 6yrs and considering he stopped working for LA over 12yrs ago we in a bit of stoosh (lol).

Also spent 6yrs as SC60, however, this was over 14yrs ago - been asked for accounts!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Contacted Inland Revenue who told me they only keep records for 6yrs and can't help. :wah

On the improvisation front - what do you think of my solution---------

My boss is a Justice of the Peace and is a former local councillor and he is prepared to sign a letter which covers dates etc stated in EOI - Do you think this will be accepted or given a swift kick oot the door.

On a positive note, flights booked (info found on the forum has been priceless, thanks very much), PGDB exam booked and we coming over to NZ on the 9th June for two weeks which will give me the opportunity to check out schools for girls (aged 14) and also to see what we can afford on the house front (can anyone in the Taupo region help with schools, been researching and can find plenty of primary schools but can't find much on secondary's.

Hope you are all well and am waiting with baited breath on your thoughts re work evidence for OH.

As long as you have a letter of reference covering dates and occupation title and on some sort of headed paper, it worked for us. we used someone my husband worked with. All was fine we got PR. If you can get anything website info of company or old paperwork, even a memo or email to prove the company used to exist this will help.

Hello again

Good news is we have managed to obtain job description, have typed something up covering dates we need verified and our local councillor is prepared to sign it as he has known us for years & years & years.
Other option is to find someone who worked beside OH and ask them to sign it - i give up:roll :roll so tired. Filling forms at work by day and filling out forms by night is driving me up the wall. Hope it'll all be worth it in the end.

Can't wait to come over in June to see the place where (hopefully) will be settling - Taupo. Are there anyone from that area - any advice gratefully recdeived.

Right back to the form filling.
busylizzie alright :)
