Hi,

We have just noticed that my partner's offfer of casual work is with an accredited employer. So Looking through the EOI paper again if i am the principal applicant i can get 100 points (no job offer) or 110 points with 10 extra points for my partner's offer of employment.
Is this likely to be pulled out the pool as quickly as others, as the job offer isnt with the principle applicant?
If so we would just need to the offer on paper and a contract.
If my partner was the principle applicant we would only get 105 points.
Would we then get the ITA or a work to residence?

Or would we be better going for a work pemit?

Thanks for any feedback
Tony

I am a tad puzzled. How could your partner get just 105 points with an offer? I think it should put you well over 140 in a hurry. Are you sure you are calculating points accurately? Just a suggestion. Good luck.

Unfurtunately my partner has no recognised qualifications. Only experience so it would be,
50 for offer of employment
15 or 20 for experience
10 for partners quals
30 for age

it depends on what you mean by casual work. to meet the requirements of points for the EOI - either as principal applicant or as partner - the job being offered must count as skilled, must be full time, and must be for a period of more than 12 months.

Now we have noticed the employer is on the accredited list. My partner is now going to see if she can get a firm offer with a contract, if we get this do you think we be selected from the pool??

yes provided she is the principal applicant and the job is classed as skilled (you'll have to resubmit with her as principal applicant). then you should get selected from the first one as a job offer = automatic selection.
