Nelson is also our first choice but we're not very optomistic about getting jobs there! What employment are you going for? Hope it works out for you; where particulary in Nelson?
Good luck

Congrats! We have our interview today and Nelson is also our dream destination but seriously considering a change of career to make it happen. Not many jobs for OH there.

Greg was asked about where we planned to setttle, have we looked into communties, any friends or contacts in NZ, what he did for a living and if he had looked into the job market there. A quick 10 minutes but we were prepared with a cheat sheet of information for him to refer to. Do a search because I know we got our information from a previous thread on the forum. Good luck to all!

We just had our phone interview too. I'd mentioned on the pre-interview questionnaire that I'd found some forums very useful, particularly this one. They asked me a little about it, and one interesting question they had was, "what do people on the forum think the hardest thing about emigrating is". I think they were encouraging us to see beyond the typical "grass is greener" comments.
