are all that can hear me at the moment....... I know it is just the beginning but we've been selected........SQUEAAAAAAAKK.
I'm off to find a paper bag to breathe in. Can't believe how excited I am.....it's only the EOI, lots can go wrong between here and there.
How long on average before you get your ITA?

Hi Myrkk,
It took about 8-9 months before we got our ITA - but there was a problem.
I think the going rate is about 3-4 months
An exciting time though!

Myrkk you have the same thought process as me. We received ITA 5 wks after selection and I still worry that something will go wrong. Congratulations and enjoy the ride!

Congrats Myrkk and Darkrider!
For us it took only 6 weeks, but took two weeks to get from the UK to the USA!
If all the info on the EOI is correct, you shouldn't have any problem. Don't just sit and wait around though... in the mean time, make sure now you have all the documentation to support your claims in your EOI.
i.e. get your passports in order (make sure they're valid for long enough), start applying for police clearance certificates if you know it's going to take a while in the country you're in. make sure you have your qualifications fully assessed (can take a month or so), and get all the letters of reference and service for your work experience ready. Make sure you have unabridged birth certificates of all included in your applications, and also unabridged marriage certificate if applicable. Get together evidence of your relationship with your OH if applicable.
These are all things that can take time if you don't already have them, so if you have them by the time your ITA arrives, it will waste that much less time in submitting your "prepopulated ITA". You do have 4 months to submit ITA, but if you can get all the necessary info ahead of time, you can lodge your ITA that much sooner and get the ball rolling quicker! :nice1

Keep checking the website to see if/when they change your status to "Decision Successful". If I understand your posting, you have been "Selected", but not "Decision Successful" yet. They aren't going to mail an ITA if/until they check into the EOI first.
You can see my timeline in my signature.
Good Luck!

Congratulations - great feeling isn't it. We now feel like we have a load of plates spinning in the air and someone else is spinning them for us! The best bit is working in two time zones. I'm constantly thinking what everyone is doing on NZ time...trying to work out who else is checking the website at 4am! Enjoy the moment and have some more of these:raebanana :raebanana :raebanana

Congratulations Myrkk! We have also just found out that our EOI has been selected for further investigation. Exciting times indeed, I'm jumping for joy (literally) OH is being sensible and not counting on anything yet. It's a good feeling though, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us! I'm expecting it to take a while as we got selected without a job offer, house is on the
market though, positive thinking and all that!
Well done again.
