Well we have been on the phone to London since the small problem with our EOI :wah (basically my OH not having qualifications assessed by NZQA before submitting EOI which lead to the wrong qualifications being put on the EOI :(
My OH Electricians qualifications have been sent to the ERWB and he has a letter stating that he will get a Provisional License for NZ (after completion of H+S course if we are applying for PR). We have e-mailed this to London and they are dealing with the letter from the ERWB and reassessing our points. He has sent all his qualifications to the NZQA 'Fast-Track' to be assessed.
We are now thinking of going on a Work to Reside Visa (WTR) instead of applying for PR - does anyone have any thoughts on this?? How long does this last? Are there any problems with doing things this way? I have been reading about this tonight on the NZIS website :confused:
Basically PR is going to take months and months and we ideally want to be in NZ early (ish) 2008. Also with PR my OH would apparently need his provisional license approved by a NZ employer?? before PR would be granted? We are doing our reccy this summer......
