Suitably ashamed of myself but thought I'd share with you the $55 fine I also received for not having my license with me (in UK you are issued with a producer in the event of not having it with you but here it seems it's an offence).

So, watch the speedo like a hawk, especially with the big engined automatics (not that I'm making excuses for myself :o ) and carry your license!

Oh bad luck - I'm glad I'm not the only one. I agree, automatics are a nightmare when you're on a striaght road and not really thinking what you're doing. They're so hot on speeding here, I'm really careful now.

Careful stevie i was doing 67 down cameron road and got a $120 dollar fine last year plus my $120 for failing to stop short in Auckland last year.#

naughty,naughty Mr D!!! but it is so easy to get caught out on the speeding stakes along with that stupid stop sign at junctions. They seem to get the stop and give way signs at little mixed up out here, and you have to be on your guard as PC plod only has to be sitting across the road and he'll be up your jacksy before you know it, just ask the missus.

yeah, it is difficult (especially without the vaseline cardy! :laugh) but it is so easy, especially when other drivers are pushing you. I let them pass but then found myself on their tail following the lights..... only when I checked the speedo and realised what they were doing did is slow back down, sooooo easy. The stop signs are a pain too, especially when there is a stop at one side of the junction but a give way at the other ???
