Hi Guys

I have a victorian mahogany tilt top drawing room table and 4 balloon back chairs. They are lovely but not fashionable/desirable in the UK at the moment.
I'm loathe to sell them for peanuts, but don't want to ship them to find I still can't use or sell them.
Is there a demand for this type of furniture over there?

I would definitely bring them over here.

Found antiques, espeically British, do really well here. Wishing we had bought things like our old Chesterfield sofa, and dining room table with us as we would have made a lot more money here than selling in the UK.

Have a look here www.trademe.co.nz . There's also quite a good antiques shop in Kapiti that also sells on trademe. May be worth contacting some antique shops as well but I don't think you'll have much problem selling them.
