Perhaps someone who has gotten to or past the final PR stages can answer this question.

As I stated in another post, we've received a request from NZIS for more medical information.

Since we've received no other requests to this point regarding our relationship, dependency of children, etc., does that mean those things were acceptable?

The letter was from a visa officer (London Branch) who specifically asked for additional medical information; it went on to say the application would be evaluated "as is" if the new info wasn't received by June 1.

My hope is that everything else passed inspection already and that that part isn't still looming June 1.

Has anyone else been asked for more proof on other parts of their application after a medical request?

Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine - yes we were asked to provide more medical evidence.

The visa officer that you mention will be your case officer, so now you have a real person that you can deal directly with ........:clap

If nothing else other than the medical evidence has been requested, then I would think that all else is fine - was for us anyway.

All they needed from us was a letter from OH specialist saying that he had totally recovered from an operation he had undergone within the previous 2 years and that no further treatment was required.

They gave us a date within which we had to respond too and although we responded before the due date, we only got our PR approved a couple of days after that date.

Hope this helps.

Yes, this helps tremendously. Thank you.

Now that OH and I have turned in our notices, I have more time to overthink and try to predict what NZIS will do next!! :laugh :laugh

I'm really hoping that getting the medical info to them will mean we're finished with hoop-jumping for this PR process. I'm tired! :exit
