Hi

Been living out in NZ for past 4.5 weeks, came over on a year work permit. Even after a short time here, we have decided this is where we want to be.

We submitted an EOI 2 weeks ago, for the selection last wednesday (9th May). We have since had an email saying that we have had an automatic selection (hubby is a joiner and on skills shortage list).

I am driving myself mad, checking the status online about 10 times a day (feels like a 100!!) and still the same. How long does it take before you get the paperwork through to start the process ??? Its driving me nuts!!!

Hi Sharon

We were selectd form the pool a fortnight before you and our status changed on the website yesterday to Decision Successful. So now I Beleive its a wait for the Postman!!!!

So in theory you should hopefully here next week?? We are still in the UK so not sure if that makes a difference.

sharon - you may find you have to wait a bit longer than most. as you are in NZ already and have work permits you aren't exactly a priority!

Hey Sharon. There-there. We know that feeling. :yes I was in a similar situation as you (already in NZ, skills shortage) , and I believe it took me about 2-3 weeks to go from EOI to receipt of ITA.

Good luck, and don't make yourself crazy!. :p

Hi Sharon,

Hang in there. :-) For what's its worth, I think i got the ITA in the mail before any further updates on the website. I do remember not that long ago, I was checking that mailbox 3 times a day. :D

But hey, if you're not working at the moment, be great if you can manage to enjoy more of NZ before that comes to an end. I haven't managed to see much of NZ yet :no

Best to ya!
