We have now given a settlement date that we will move into our house :raebanana
Can anyone recommend good removal companies that move (mostly heavy) items for us from christchurch city to outskirt of christchurch?

Friday 1st June! To give us more time finding people to move into our rental house! and my OH don't need extra day off work because monday 4th is Queen's birthday, public holiday (very handy so he can save more holiday for when baby arrive)
Yes to boxes, can i have 6 medium size (standard type, you know what i mean?) please? thanks Pip!

We used The Moving Company. They packed up for us too.

I've got it..kill two birds with one stone - we can have a Christchurch forum moving get together.. everyone meets at location A, your house - fills their car with boxes and drives to location B - the new house. We bring biscuits and thermos.. nothing like bonding over a shared goal..

p.s personally nothing on earth would make me go near the moving go again - but we may have just been unlucky!
