Meanwhile dreams of making suficient provision, crusing and far away holidays in retirement remain for the UK and AUS population who stayed at home :wah

West Coast of Scotland maybe - mid-Wales? Never! Beautiful scenery but that's about it. We have to drive 20 miles to the nearest supermarket, petrol prices?...pick a number and double it. 50 miles to reach a motorway. Nearest Accident and emergency hospital? 44 miles. Social services? Speech and Language Therapy?...Who's in charge this week? Drug problems? Plenty - ex-offenders shipped here from the cities because rental property is dirt cheap and plentiful in the many redundant hotels left over from the Victorian era. Born-again bikers love the windy roads - known to locals as 'organ donors' (don't mean to sound insensitive - but rate of fatalities is beyond belief). Worst place in the UK to fall ill or have an accident needing emergency treatment. NHS dentists are a collectors item - tooth extraction on NHS rates, treatment to save tooth - must pay privately.
