retreading old ground a little ...but

Going for th ITA
I have a degree which will get a full assessment my wife also has a degree for which I have claimed points. Do I need both of them to get a full assessement or just mine?

I have a transcripts for both.

It is my understanding (and perhaps someone else can confirm this) that you, as the main applicant, need to get a full NZQA assessment and your wife does not need to get a full NZQA assessment if her qualification is on the list of accepted recognised qualifications. If it is not on this list then I think you have to do the full assessment. But either way you will still need to provide her certificate/degree/transcripts etc to prove she has this qualification.

Thanks I think I'll go see NZIS on Monday just to confirm. No point spending cash unless absolutely necessary.

I had to have a full assessment because I was the main applicant.

Also, because I claimed points for my partner's degree (doctorate), I had to get his degree pre-assessed through NZQA even though it was on the list of recognized degrees.

This was requested by NZIS on my list on the ITA when I received it (back in Nov).

NZIS do not need to have my wife's degree assessed as it is on the list of recognised qualifications.
