Some advice please!

I have annual holiday insurance in UK which is about to expire. I am hoping to move to NZ in September but before that have a trip to Ireland booked along with other weekends away.
I remember reading a thread somewhere about insurance for the move / and first few weeks in NZ but cannot find this on search. Does anyone know where it was? Can it be combined with insurance for European travel or should I renew my current insurance either just for Europe, or to cover Worldwide.

To add a further twist, on the way to NZ we are looking at spending a week in LA to help the kids with their decision to go. Don't want to be faced with the prospect of repatriation to UK if we have a problem in LA.

I remember also reading something but can't find it BUT I did note down this from the relevant thread www.go-walkabout, hope thats roight, can't quite read my own writing! I also noted it was a special emigration package to cover first few weeks. We had similar problem recently, had long term cover for Europe but to extend it to cover world wide was astronomical so we took out another to cover NZ once Europe one ended. Went to local broker who got an excellent deal for us, much to our surprise coz we'd thought an on-line would be better but no.
Good luck...by the way have you started applying for jobs yet?

I think PinkPiggy did this recently so you could also ask her who she used for insurance. Let us know if you find out anything as we will also need to sort out insurance as our travel policy is linked to our home/contents and we won't have a home soon!
