Hi Dave and Sandra,
many thanks for the number, have given them a ring and now awaiting the damage!
notice you were originally from Warrington, we are based in Liverpool, so not too far, did you use Golden Arrow to move a dog? if so would mind letting me know the cost? We have six dogs to move so trying to sort a budget out asap.
Cheers - H

Hi again,
we have six working siberian huskies, so we were reckoning on around .......deep breath..............£12,000, but but hoping we may be able to bring this down a bit. It's a lot I know, but if we go they will have to come with us. So any one out there with any advice/experience etc post away!
Cheers - H.

Hi Helen
Sorry - we only had one little cat, which cost £832.
Dave and I are both from Liverpool originally. I left when I was 14 though and moved to Winsford. Where are you?
What does working huskiesmean. Does this mean Liverpool has frozen over since I was last there :laugh

Good one!
'Working huskies' to me referes to the diff between sanity and madness!!! but really is the diff between 'showring' and 'working' lines. My far better half runs the little darlings (and despairs of the showring stuff) and would eventually like to run a sled dog activity centre so hence the 'working' term.
I think if Liverpool had frozen over I would have a harder job getting him to move! :exit he's already crying about the amount of rain! He would really rather go to Canada, but it's TOO COLD for me, and he now has a job offer in Auk. so looks like decision made. The only prob being just how much it is going to cost to get them over there, we were reckoning on around £12000, but from Veronicas post it may be more, so we will have to wait to get the quote from golden arrow before we make any decisions about moving.
Anyway, we live in the Croxteth area, but have friends who live in the winsford area, (they too moved from Liverpool - something to do with her dads job), and are also mad husky people!
Thanks for the info, maybe we could disguise the dogs as cats :P and get a cheaper quote!
Cheers - Hel.

Hi Helen It is going to cost me 4,200 for two trailhounds and a small terrier x with golden arrow. I believe that there is a trailhound leading one of the champion sledge teams in scotland. I imagine the trailhounds will be a similar size to your huskies. I am having problems with the terrier as he is very ill so cant book it yet untill he has recovered. Going back to the vets tomorrow.

Hi Blue,
thanks for the info on your dogs - looking a bit more hopeful then! hoping with so many we may be able to get a discount!
Yeah - hounds are becoming very popular with the racers, the Sibes are difficult dogs to deal with on a general basis. We started off with one sibe, and then found out that in order to keep her happy, me sane and the house intact we would have to work her. We met up with some people who own a big race kennels and after that Steve was hooked, so hence the team of six dogs now :wah
Sorry to hear about your little dog, I also have a little terrier, (he is staying with my eldest son untill he comes over), he also is a BIG chewer, electrical cords being his fav for a while :eek now he kills toys, books, hairbrushes and plastic bottles etc on a regular basis, how on earth we haven't been back and forth to the vets with him I don't know, very very lucky methinks.
Hope your little guy gets better soon,
Cheers - H
