Anyone have any information/experience of the lease to own option of buying a house?

Are there any catches in there somewhere? Small print?

It looks like a good way to actually purchase a home, get a feel for the area it is in and settle before signing on the dotted line...

Any thoughts anyone?

There are rent to buy schemes, but with the availability of 100% mortgage finance, the current market for rent to buy is mainly for people who banks and finance companies would not normally lend to.
Not surprisingly the interest rate incorporated within rent to buy schemes is higher than mortgage finance.
