Hi to all,
Just like to introduce myself, i'm lee and my wife Jenn hence leejenns, and our 2 young children are hopefully moving to Auckland in August.
I have a job offer from an acreddited employer in NZ, and will be applying for a WTR visa, ( staying with same company, transferring offices from UK to NZ), got all our paperwork together except for our medicals which we had on Monday, slight prob, my waist circumferance was 2cm over max tolerance so had to go for glucose and cholesteral blood tests, just had them back, cholesteral 4.6 and glucose 5.2, got a letter from my doctor stating there is no likelyhood i will develop diabetes in the near future, do you think this will be OK! Hopefully if we get the visa, we will be moving to the Meadowbank area of Auckland where our friends live.
We have visited NZ twice in the last 3 years so we are not going out blind.

Welcome aboard. I'm a newbie too, but have found this site to be really useful and friendly.

As to the medical tests, all I can say is try it and see. If NZIS's doctor wants follow-up work, then they'll tell you. We had a couple of extra checks to do - from what I've read it seems not all that unusual. One day at a time!

Welcome and good luck,

Hi Lee, Jenn and Chiba

Welcome to the forum, we're new here too:)

Lee, my guess is you should be okay with the letter from your doctor. I arranged a similar one but privately and from a diabetic specialist recommended by our panel doctor (and I was cleared okay). We took the view to have this done because we didn't have time to waste getting a further report due to my OH's job start date, so we'll never know if they would have asked for one or not. I agree with Chiba, submit your medicals and wait and see what happens.

Hi all you newbies, welcome to the forum. You'll find it an excellent source of information.

Thanks for the replies and welcomes.
Will hopefully be submitting visa app next week when we get medical stuff back.
A couple of our friends in NZ had similiar issues as mine and were given their visa ok, seems if you have a job offer things should go ok.
