Yes i sit here celebrating, my work visa has been granted. :nice1 Postie arrived today with a recorded delivery, but i was indisposed. :wah :eek Card was dropped with info on it saying i needed to pick up from sorting office. So a quick call was made to wife who popped along a couple of hours later and duly picked it up. In process of her opening it and giving me a running commentary i hear wails of excitement from her colleagues, wife in excitement tells me its been approved and passport has been stamped. Yes, RESULT. :raebanana :raebanana :raebanana
It just leaves this house to sell now. So :hopeso for some movement after xmas. And all this excitement 15 hours after i had received another job offer following a phone interview. The result also included the company being actually accredited. But i am not splitting hairs just for the sake of a company being accredited.
I am totally elated.

Great news Kim

It's such a shame your house isn't selling. :wah Don't forget to call into Feilding when you're trucking down the highway. Is Elaine OK now?

Can't be long now :hopeso 'til you get that house sold. People will start looking after Christmas again.

:P Its excellent news Sandra. Where you been hiding by the way? I have my :hopeso that things will move after the festive season. Its just a shame that we are now into winter and not the spring because just to look at place now looks so uninviting :wah :no but i will just go with the flow and hope for the best.
Elaine has now come to terms with her diabetes thanks. At least she is only on the tablets and diet.
Best wishes to you and Dave for the festive period and hope to truck on down to you in the new year.

I keep popping up every now and then.

In-between sanding floors, polyurethaning floors, digging out humungous amounts of weeds in front of the fence along the road (must keep the neighbours happy), laying bark over the weeded bits, planting plants along our new stream and pond, feeding the fishies, we've got 6 now, cutting up parts of trees that have been felled and feeding them into the woodburner. Having heat pumps installed - took a whole week. Waiting in for kitchen planners, designing a new kitchen. Stripping all the c**p off the beautiful wood in this house and restoring it to its full glory. Buying furniture on Trade-me. Trying to see a bit of the country at weekends. I tell you there aren't enough hours in the day.

I've even applied for a job now here in Feilding, not that I've got the time to work, and the closing date for applications is on Tuesday. :hopeso I'll get an interview.

Hope you and Elaine and kids have a lovely Christmas - we're giving it a miss this year. Can't quite get my head round it somehow this year, even though the weather's awful right now it's still not as cold as Christmas should be. Dave's never been bothered anyway, I only did it for me and my Dad - it's not much fun pulling crackers by yourself. :laugh

Here's to a Happy New Year for all of us on the forum :cheers and PR for us all

Kim,
We're so happy for you. Well done.
:cheers
The news is very welcome as you in particular have had a real struggle to get your Visa. It brings us all a glimer of hope and that extra bit closer.

Thank you.
:nice1

John,

Thanks for your kind words. If you have a spare £1200 going you can always take that licence. All of a sudden you will become a wanted man, and boy it's a great feeling.

Kim a wanted man, hmmm now that's not how you described yourself at our last meet  No honestly, we're so chuffed for you, an excellent early Christmas present. Does Elaine fancy coming to the Salt Cellar on the 28th for our 'girls only lunch'?

In any case, well done matey, you've given all of us encouragement with your achievement.

luv
Babette :cheers
