Hi guys,
Can anyone tell us,
How many days annual leave from work, can we expect in NZ?
Also, how many national holidays are there?

Not in NZ yet but OH has job offer with 20 days hol plus Bank Hols.
He gets 25 days in UK.

Four weeks annual leave has just become mandatory by law in NZ

Bank hols are:

two for Christmas (25th and 26th Dec)
two for New Year (1st and 2nd of Jan)
two for Easter (Friday and Monday)
Waitangi Day (Feb 6)
Anzac Day (April 25)
Queen's Birthday (First Monday in June)
Labour Day (Last Monday in October)

plus each province takes an anniversary day on varying dates - I think HB is around the start of November but can be taken late October depending on how the calendar falls...

A lot of companies stick to the you do NOT get holiday in the first year. You have to acrue it for the year following. some are flexiable so you can acrue and use, but neither of mine have.
