Hi guys...

One thing I forgot to ask the guy at NZ house was whether I need to have a return flight booked (or if evidence of funds is enough) on a partnership or work to residence visa. Being a kind of permanent thing I would have thought that return flights aren't necessary. Problem is I can't take another day off to go up to NZ house and there is no phone number...so I thought I would ask you guys.

Like I said, I can't see it being too much of an issue but we are in the process of lining up quotes for the trip and want to know what I have to pay for.

Thanks.

Rob.

Nah!! If you're here on a work visa you don't need to have proof of outward travel, as far as I know.

Good flight!

your visa must state "outward travel waived", or words similar to that effect. This means you can enter on a single ticket. If it doesn't say this you will need a return ticket.

I emailed the online help section of nZ immigration and the above was their reply. Hope this helps. :)
