If you have around 10 years experience in a professional fierld I recommend to seek 90-100k minimum for a decent standard of living.

For which professions do you mean??
I'm a professional librarian of more than 10 years' standing, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get a salary that's even close to that of a lawyer or a doctor. It's a fact of life. If I get offered 50-60K in NZ, I'll think I'm doing pretty well - I've no illusions about the perceived 'value' of my profession. If someone wants to pay me 90-100K, I wouldn't complain, but it aint gonna happen.
If every professional holds out for 90-100K, they're going to be disappointed, that's all.
Also depends what you mean by a decent standard of living, which can vary depending on expectations.

There are lots of professionals who "deserve" 90-100K and will never be offered that--such as teachers.
I'm a professional with more than 10 years service who puts in more hours than many of my friends in other career fields, and they make double what I make with similar number of years experience.
It's a messed up pay system all over the world. It seems that society doesn't value nurses, teachers, police officers, firefighters, etc., when it comes to the pay scale.
So, if I try to seek a "decent living" by asking for that kind of money, I will be laughed at by employers.

I concur. I am with you, the priorities are very screwed up. I believe you need to pay teachers very good pay so that the best and the brightest choose the profession for the sake of next generation. How are you going to have a top notch work force if the kids are not taught by the brightest minds? I am not a teacher or police officer but the occupations you list all deserve good pay.

I'm a nurse in the UK and still waiting for the first part of our 'piddling' pay rise for this year - it seems the same all over the world. If you work in a service or public profession you get less appreciation or pay as those in the world of business or commerce. I keep telling myself it is so that those going into nursing, teaching etc.... are doing so for the love of the job and not the money :D
