Hi,
I used to drink Alpro Lite in the UK (http://www.alprosoya.co.uk/alpro/UK_en/product/bycategory/milk/3.html) which is a fresh Soy Milk, virtually fat free with no added sugar but it's packed full of calcium and other nutrients.
I haven't found anything similar here and I can't even find any soy milk (fresh or UHT) that doesn't have added sugar :no
Anyone seen any?

Bump!
I want to know this, too, as I love soy milk and rely on it for my vegetarian diet!
I've also read on this forum that sugar is added to lots of things in NZ that are not sweetened in UK or US. Why is this common practice in NZ??

Pure Harvest Malt Free Soy Milk is sold at Commonsense Organics (http://www.commonsenseorganics.co.nz), which has stores in Welly, Hutt and up here in Kapiti. Other organic stores sell it as well. Milliemoo, in Auckland try Naturally Organic (http://www.naturallyorganic.co.nz/shop/shop.php?cat=165). I've seen it for around $3/ ltr.Pure Harvest Soy Milk Malt Free 1ltr A natural soy milk that is free of all added malts and sugars. Ingredients: Organic whole soya beans, organic sunflower oil, sea salt, carrageenan, filtered water added.
I doubt you'll find it in the regular grocery stores, but stock seems to vary widely from store to store near me, so maybe...

Hi there,
I found that in my local organic shop, but they're charging $4.50L !!!
I'm going to see if I kind find somewhere in the city that sells it. Oh, just thought.... I've never looked in the organic shop in Ellerslie that I go to once every 4-6 weeks to stock up on whole foods. I bet they have it.
I'll report back when I know the price.

I had some problems reading nutrition fact labels in NZ. (avid carb-counter) I need to find out what their vitamin allowances are and I need a little conversion book to put in my purse! I can say that a lot of things I tried were sweetened with honey, like curries, bread, and ice cream. When I'm throwing carbs to the wind I do prefer honey over sugar!

I agree with Ana, honey is the best ( manuka yummy) or at last dark brown sugar no chemicals, no bleaching procedure.
