Just in case you all thought it was a re-run from a few months ago..........Its not. :yes Its an update on the progress being made by the original family from the programme, but also involves other couples. It covers a variety of places in NZ to. :nice1
Get those tapes out if your busting your butts at work between 3-30 & 4-30. Ok for me i'm on permanent nights.

Saw it! :nice1 Actually enjoyed it! :clap
With the ones set in Australia, I couldn't help but cringe at times. But I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episode.
Perhaps I'm easy to please. :yes

I don't suppose anyone has a torrent link for those of us on the wrong side of the pond? BBCA doesn't seem to carry that one...

Like you've said Kim39 this ain't a re-run..it's a follow on from the previous Get A New Life that featured the Denson family (not the Goddard family..who moved to Tauranga!!)...IMHO it's better than the originals in the fact it is showing people who have made he move thru the programme but others aswell, for example a couple who have been there a year and are looking to buy a home in Auckland..so it's more about life in NZ than about Scott Huggins or Melissa Porter...who help to find families a new life in NZ....don't shoot me that's just my opinion...to see for yourself check out BBC2 this week (until Thursday) approx 3.30pm in the afternoon...so get those videos/DVD recorders programmed..
I'm enjoying it and can't wait for tomorrows showing, hope you will enjoy it too!!
Have fun

I too enjoy the afternoon show well worth being unemployed for. When things are bad for me in NZ I will think back and say well I could be a Denison.

Cruel, but you've got a point! :laugh
No jobs, house in UK not sold yet, kids in private education and no guarantee of meeting the costs in the future... :uhoh Having to be told you can't get a mortgage without jobs is a bit crazy too.
Still, you can't knock them for their courage, but I like things a bit smoother than that!

Interesting show today. Interesting that is, if you're a lesbian whale watcher or a thespian queen!
The Wellington property search and the trip to Taupo & Rotorua was quite good though.

"ok darling, stick the 3 kids in the car, and we will drive for about seven hours to Taupo. What? book some digs first you say. Dont be daft. This is New Zealand after all"
I may be harsh here, but I think that our NHS and police force are probably on the winning side somehow.

I couldn't believe that either! They were relying on a NZ guide book for accommodation too. It is sooooo easy just to pop onto the net and tap in www.jasons.co.nz or the AA site to book accommodation.
Of course, I am sure there are areas in NZ living where many of us would be rather green and naive. Moving to a new country is a bit overwhelming, after all.
I do worry for them, though. :?
