Too many dogs

Hi to anyone who gets this!
We are a South African couple in the early stages of emigration. :cheers We are now looking at where to live...
I have family in Hamilton but we are being mysteriously drawn to Dunedin. (I think it's the Gaelic thing that appeals to us as well as an indie music scene!) Does anyone on the forum live in Dunedin? We would like to know more about it...
We don't think we will have a problem settling in at all. We are worried about finding a rental property that will allow our 3 dogs though...
Another slight worry (but not stressing out about it...yet) would be employment - what would the job hunting situation be like for someone who doesn't mind doing just about anything?
(Big future dream is own business venture...:raebanana )
We are migrating primarily to get away from the crime. :exit Another tempting factor is all the space and a more relaxed way of life (once one gets past all the stress of getting there!). We have no illusions that things will be hard for us in the beginning, but it's all about what there is to look forward to later isn't it?
