Hi,
Has anyone had their status bar updated on the NZ immigration page before hearing from them, and do they tend to e-mail details of the case officer or is this done via normal mail?
We have already submitted the ITA (In february) and the status bar shows decision pending...can any one advise what this changes to please..
Thanks
Hels ( Getting very impatient and increasingly desperate)

In the past I have gotten an email before anything changed on my status bar. It was always nice to have that confirmed on the immigration page, but I don't think it is often a source of "new" information. Maybe others have different stories.
I know how you feel...it's an anxious time, eh?

Ours didn't change from Decision Pending until after we had been assigned our CO, had the interview, been approved and sent in our passports and paid the Migrant Levy. Which would be.........yesterday. After that it changes to APPROVED with an expiry date.
Hope you get yrs soon.

Thanks for the replies,
It has been a year (!) since we submitted the EOI, and there is a medical issue which has come to light since the submission of the ITA - it shouldn't be enough to stop the plans ( I hope!) but it feels like the process is endless!
CJ Chris I notice from your signiture you have an interview today, I hope it goes smoothly for you!

Hi there, we are in pretty much the same boat as you guys. We submitted the ITA in Feb too, and are still playing the waiting game. I think I was beginning to obcess at one point with the online bit (checking several times a day). Thankfully I have managed to calm down a huge amount now and only check once or twice a week.
So far everything we have received has been via the post, so I assume that this will continue, at least for us. In a way it's a blessing now knowing that the website is very slow to update as I'll manage to keep hold of my faculties by no longer worrying about seeing something other than 'Decision Pending'!
CJChris - congrats guys. ;o)

Thanks, Natasha and Hels!
I feel a huge sense of relief!!! :yes
I'm not sure why they don't update info on the immigration site more...seems like people would use it more often if they knew there might be a message there!
