Hey Everyone:p
Just a quick question. I have noticed that lots of photos get posted on the forum and we would like to post some of our own in the future....
Thing is, I haven't figured out yet how to do it. My photo's seem to be too large for the forum (both in dimensions and file size), so I am unable to post at the moment.
Can anyone give this duffer a clue?

I use photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com) for some of my pics. It's a free account, and when you go to upload files you can click on options to specify a file size - such as email, message board, etc... They then give you a URL address. You can copy that. Then when you're posting here, click on the little yellow graphic icon and paste the URL there. The pic will show up. Hope that's helpful. :)

How do I just get the picky in the post and not the URL? I followed your instructions and it placed the URL there. Is this correct?
Cheers

Hmm... when you go to My Albums at photobucket, and you see your picture thumbnail on that page, there should be a box that says "URL Link " right under the image. (It's a shorter web address than the one you're using - it shouldn't have "?action=view¤t=" anywhere in the link, like the web address you tried to use did.)
Right click and choose "copy" to copy the URL Link, and come back to the forum to post a message, and you put the link in the popup box that opens after you click on the yellow image icon with the mountain and sun (next to font and the other options when you write a post). You put the URL link in by right clicking and choosing "paste".
Sorry - it's always awkward to explain this stuff from a distance. Hope that's helpful despite the fact that I probably repeated a bunch of stuff you already know.
***By the way, I did follow the link, and that's a terrific picture! :clap***

Hi there. First of all, what a top photograph.
Secondly, to embed the photograph in to the post, on the page where your photo is, click on the IMG Code - Forums and Bulletin Boards to get the code, in this example it looks like: http://i189.photobucket.com/albums/z141/liamnrach/NZ-AbelTasmin-WhataView.jpg and just paste that into you post where you want it to be located.
Good luck. :nice1

Can't argue with the advice above. Many of us here use photobucket. It works a treat.
