Hi, I first brought this up in my introduction but this might be a better place to ask! We're coming out on a Recce in August prior to OH's sabbatical in Adelaide and trying to work out whether to emigrate now or in 5 years time when he could take early retirement and his pension would kick in (at a young 52).
I've got two girls, aged 5 and 10 and have been a stay at home mum for most of that time. Find I'm worn out just juggling house and homework, and wondered how mums who've gone back to work have found it. Have you managed to organize your days? How do you manage the guilt? Have the wages been worth the sacrifice? All my experience has been teaching English as a Foreign Language overseas, and do NOT want to go into that -degree in Spanish but no real work qualifications or experience.
Has working helped you to settle in to NZ life?
If we wait another five years oldest daughter would be going on 16 and read some rather negative-sounding posts about older children settling in.
Any advice?
