Hi all

No it's not a diet.....It's a method of completing your GCSE's in New Zealand via correspondence I think.

Our daughter aged 15 is due to complete GCSE's in June 2008, but we hope to be in NZ before then.... Sept 2007.

I believe Someone has briefly mentioned this before (Bubbles i think)

It just seems a shame that she will have to adapt to an entirely new curriculum to obtain equivalent qualifications in NZ ( are they called N.C.E.A 's? )

Any teachers' have any advice?

Kindest regards

LesleyS:)

There are schools that do follow the Cambridge exams, one of which is MacLeans in East Auckland, not sure how you find a list of them though... depends where you are going to settle.

Hi Lesley,
I'm not a teacher but a parent. I think there are four schools in Auckland that do Cambridge International GCSEs, including Macleans which is where our 16 year old goes. She is doing the Cambridge exams. It is a one year course here, not 2 as in UK GCSEs.
I think Auckland Grammar do it (boys only) and have no idea about the rest of NZ.

Hello Lesley,

The Association of Cambridge Schools in NZ is a network to support students, parents and schools who deliver the CIE curriculum in NZ. The have a list of CIE schools in NZ - http://www.acsnz.org.nz/schools.html.
