Is it possible t get Work to Residency via Franchise type Business in NZ.
A well known UK company we have approached has advised u there is an opening in NZ for this Franchise which we currently operate in UK.
The franchise is just opening in Australia and is an International Business.

How would I go about this...any ideas or help preatly appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

Hi Dave, and welcome to the forum.
You can indeed obtain residency by buying into a franchise, but it involves applying under the Long term Business visa scheme.
You would have to prove to NZ immigration that your intended business would be " a benefit to New zealand". If granted the right to come and give it a go, you then get 2 years to prove your case, after which you have to re-apply under the entropenaur (sp) scheme. It is quite a long winded process, and to be honest, I believe that your qualifications and experience would probably give you a stronger case for gaining PR than a franchise would.
There are people here that have gone through the LTB visa process, so will be able to advise you better than I. Good luck.
