A couple of weeks ago I applied for a teacher aid post in the school in the local primary my daughter attends. It seemed too good to be true, given how much I love the school and the community and that the hours and job description are 100% perfect.

Just been offered the position :D

I am just sooooooo happy, worth the cold mornings :raebanana

Well done to you :raebanana

I too work as a Teacher aide ,my first job was just mornings in a primary school ,now I have a full school day in a High School .

My daughter attends the School if I see her I just say Hi and she just rolls her eyes [unless she needs a lift or money !!!!]

The job is perfect as it is same hours as the kids and all the holidays too :clap [except no pay in the holidays :no ].

Good Luck .

I'm a teachers assistant here in UK and will be trying to get work in a NZ school when we arrive. Would be interested to hear what you think of the school and job once you start. but for now :cheers

Congratulations! :raebanana

Its hard to find work that fits in with the kids school holidays, even more so when there are no grnadparents to step in at short notice for babysitting duties.

I'm hanging on (hopefully if we can manage on Kev's pittance!) at least until Emerson starts school in two years.
