We hand over the rental house back to landlady last tuesday as moved into our house and to this date we still haven't received our bond back even we have signed the form...I wondering how long it is really before we get our bond back before we get worry about it, How long before did you get your bond back?

It was a while ago now, but I think that we had to go and get our bond back ourselves.

We waited for a couple of weeks for the bond and when it didn't show, phoned the people (?) who hold the bonds and they told us what to do.

I think the phone number you need was on the copy of the bond that you should have been provided with.

It took a few weeks for ours to reappear in the bank. So if you have filled out all your details, maybe give it another week and give them (the bond holding authority) a call to see how long its going to take.

If the bond money was lodged with the bond authority in Wellington (the correct procedure), then it will take a couple of weeks or so for them to process the money to be returned to you.
Have you contacted them to ensure they've received your paperwork?

I'm sure it says on the forms allow up to 14 working days for it to be credited back into your bank account. I just remember seeing ours appear back, never really noticed how long it took, but it can't have been ages or Mr Scrooge would have had me chasing it!!

I'd give it a bit longer, up to the 14 days, then if its still not appeared start chasing it up!:nice1
