Hi,
Never posted on one of these things before but I thought I'd say hello!

I'm Jo, 25years old and hoping to move out to NZ in November.

I'm so excited about this move, I can hardly wait!

I'm not sure where I'll be yet as still applying for jobs. So far applied to Wellington, Dunedin and Christchurch but I'm quite easygoing so not too worried where I end up - ideally somewhere not too remote though as I'm coming over on my own..

I've never visited new zealand - never even left europe but I figure, I'm only young once and if I don't do this now while I've relatively few ties, I will probably always find reasons not to go. Anyway, as everyone keeps telling me, if I don't like it I can always go home...

I reckon I'll love it - I love the outdoors and can't wait to live within easy access of beach and hills. I love my job but looking forward to a better work-life balance in NZ. Always up for meeting new people and new challenges so I'm sure it'll work out

If anyone has any advice at all, I'd appreciate it.

Take care,
Jo :)

hey Jo! My Boyfriend is 25 aswell. We're from Switzerland and we've never been to NZ aswell. We share the same thoughts "Risk something while were young!". Our Immigration Process is not as easy as yours is, but we're leaving Switzerland o the 21.August and are landing in Auckland on the 13. Sept.! We hope to manage our way around Auckland, because we love bi CIties and want to stay we're everything is still growing and all the young people are! Welcome to the Forum!!

Hi jo,

welcome to the forum and to the biggest rollercoaster of your life.

Feel free to ask any questions, someone will know the answer or have experienced what you are going through.

Also make use of the search facility, it is very useful for looking at previous threads.

Where are you from?

Me and Rach (my OH) visited last year and thought it was the most beautiful country we had ever been to.....still is now, and we have done lots of travelling since!:yes

Good luck with the move and the job hunt:D

Welcome, Jo! I'm new too, so I can't offer much advice about the forums, but I can definitely say that your easy-going attitude is the right one to have. If you have enough freedom to be spontaneous, then there's not much that should bog you down :) We're moving to NZ for just the reasons you mentioned. It's one of the few countries in the world where you can find golden beaches and alpine mountains within a few hours of each other! Perfect for us, since I'm a beach girl and my OH grew up in the mountains. We're 24 and 28 respectively.

Where in Europe are you from?
