When I come across a particularily rich thread full of detailed information that can help make the emigration process smoother (esp some of Caroline and Dave's threads i.e. "Emigration Departure Checklist" and "Housing Information") I would like to print some of these to read off-line but...

...my printer is chopping off the R side of the page

...and I end up printing every post in the thread, avatars, user names, and sponsor information, instead of just the information I find informative

Any tips on printing just text and deleting unneccessary posts/information? A printer friendly page?

I'm not great at this sort of thing but if you really want to print the text you could copy and paste it into a word document and then snip out what you don't want from there before printing.

However, you could just 'save' threads under your favourites or bookmarks in a file just for them...that's what I did :)

If you go into 'Thread Tools' at the top of the thread you're reading there is an option to 'show printable version'. Try that if you haven't already, it should hopefully resize it for you and put it into a better format - that's what I always do. I haven't tried editing it to delete bits I don't want but you may be able to from there. Otherwise just cut and paste as Lupin77 suggested.

I opened a word document, called New Zealand 'Bible' and any posts i thought were particulary usefull to us, or that i may want to refer to later, i used to just copy and paste them into my bible. That way if you have a laptop, but can't get onto the internet when you get here, you still have all that useful information to hand! :nice1
