Hi we bought a car and now need to renew the road fund licence for another 6 months asap (as its just ran out!)
tried to do it on line but a no go as we do not have a nz driving licence number to enter
presumably can do via form at post office with uk number -???

This is a link I have for locating agents that issue driver licences. Having sorted that recently and been to one of these agents, they obviously did vehicle licencing as well, I imagine they all would.

we do not have a renewal notiice or nz licence so will find out soon enough if ok which i'm sure it will be

If you did have the renewal notice you could do it online, without a NZ driving licence, despite the fact that even the renewal notice says you need one. I presume you didn't get the notice because you bought the car very recently? Have you got the registration document through yet? If not, might be an idea to take the change of ownership receipt with you - but you've probably thought of that :)

no -good thinking - we did buy it about 4 weeks ago and did get some official paperwork through (somewhere...)
i will complete from MR18 and see what happens - doesnt ask for any driving licence details so might be ok
