Hi Everyone,

Your advice would really be appreciated. I had my telephone interview on the 6th June and last week received an email from my case officer saying I had been approved in principle and all that remained to be done was to send my passport so the visa could be issued.

I understand from looking at other posts on the forum that you can delay getting your blue stickers for up to six months, by delaying payment of the migrant levy, although I think I sent the migrant levy form with my application :-O

So I am wondering, should I wait to receive a letter before doing anything, and could I still delay getting the blue stickers? Also, is it usually 3-4 weeks to issue the visa, or can it be longer?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Clare

Hi Clare, if you've received email that you've been approved in principle, it shouldn't be long before you receive letter in the mail. The letter I received stated that I needed to send my passport, and more money before getting the goods. It took about two weeks for them to send my passport back with stickers.

If you wish to delay things, even if you have paid the levy (you sure?), delaying sending in your passport should do the trick. Someone else here may be able to confirm. I seemed to remember them stating a date in the letter when I must send the passport/money back by - it probably was about 6 months.
