Hi

A bit convoluted but bear with me.

If we get our blue stickers in our passport I understand we have a year to activate them...... That's fine. But we are considering going to NZ in april for a reccie and job interviews and we will come back to the UK..... is that ok or will we have to get an IRRV?? to come back to the UK 'cause we've activated the blue stickers and will be coming back to the UK for a few months?

You automatically get an RRV put in your passport at the same time as your precious blue stickers.

Hi there,

Yup, no problem as you get an IRRV issued at the same time as your PR. One option though is to delay paying the migrant levy (I think you have upto 6 months) and then get your PR stickers after you've returned to the UK. Don't know if that fits in with your timescales, but it's an idea.

unfortunately we submit our ITA mid Oct and will be doing our reccie in April....... so unless we move our reccie........

But now I know it won't cause a problem getting back in to NZ that's fine.
