Hi All, my name is Liesl and I'm from the windy city - my hubby and I are planning on emigrating to NZ by the end of the year. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all the valuable information that is posted on this site. There is so much to read - I don't know where to start. Well, maybe I have a quick question. Can anyone recommend a good airline (I would like to arrive with all my baggage in order :) ) as I have 2 boys aged 3 and 7 and would like to make the trip as comfortable and friendly for them. I've been looking into Singapore airlines, but any recommendations are most welcome.

Hi Liesl,
We used Singapore Airlines and have no complaints at all.
They looked after our 4 daughters with us and could'nt be more friendly and helpful.
We would def use them again above all others.
Safe trip with whoever you fly with.

Singapore airlines, we doing it from joburg to Singapore for a 4 day "mini holiday" and then on to Auckland. Lots of specials in Singapore if you fly Singapore air.

I have been looking at prices too and Singapore Airlines are definitely more reasonably priced than most other airlines from SA for NZ. Plus I have only heard wonderful things about them so they get my vote too.
