Thanks for your kind words folks.

Timbo ..... I've even decided to 'enter into the spirit' of things now ..... I've just put up the Christmas cards (up to now they've been opened then put in the top drawer !!!!!!). I'm even looking forward to my sprouts .... how sick is that.

Kim ....... you're right, with getting PR and the news on the front of the Daily Mail yesterday that the housing market (should) be on the up, I agree that the next NW meet could be a long way from Manchester.

Sandra ..... Barista it is then :cheers

Junnifer ..... yep - a great feeling.

Have just noticed something. From the day NZIS received our application to getting our PR ....... EXACTLY 3 months.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS !!!!!!

hi diny

wonderful news! am now raising my glass of ... four seasons juice (can't drink alcohol, am allergic :no ) to you my very good friend.

May you have enough rain to brighten your sunshiny days, enough laughter to warm hearts, and enough hope to guide you through the wilderness of life, especially a new one in a place so far from home.

and may you have enough friends to keep you comfortable all your days.

:cheers

All the best Diny and family, we just had a great Xmas day, even the weather played ball it was lovely, we had to smeer all the kids with sun tan lotion.
They just put a new public notice/commercial on tv, they said " New Zealand, a country with a population of 5 Million, its just that there are only 4 million of us at home at the moment" how apropriate.

Hey Diny,

didn't see your post before as I'm very busy settling in here and all but a BIG congratulations with your PR!!! :clap :clap :clap You've got to be feeling on top of the world.
Best wishes to you and your family and hope to see you one day in NZ :nice1

Thanks for that, yes, we're feeling on top of the world. We were told a few weeks back that all was fine and there were no problems with our application, but until we actually got it in writing there was still room for a little doubt.

Taking the route we have (family partnership) is really frustrating. There's no way you can track your application on line, and after being told that all was OK, I didn't feel inclined to contact my case worker too often just for an update (fear of rocking the boat).

However, all is now good. All of the red tape has been neatly wound up (although I still feel I'm tempting fate by saying that). Here's to an eventful 2005.

Happy new year - and all the best for your transition to NZ. Keep us posted on how things are going.

Diny.
