Well, we are 9 weeks in and love our new life!

We have settled in so well, have nice jobs and have met some lovely people.

Weekends we go out 'exploring' the beautiful countryside, back in the Uk, we never went anywhere on a weekend, as hubby was nearly always working.

Our little boy has settled in so well, he first went to kindy, now in an ABC learning centre - both places have been fantastic to him, and he has made loads of mates! He starts full time school now in 3 weeks!

We have been lucky enough to have our offer on a house accepted, which we hope to move into in 2-3 weeks time.

EOI accepted, just going through process of ITA!!

Boxes in Wellington, just waiting arrival.

Everything going sooooo well, we are so happy!!

Only downside still is, parents in law still very unhappy we arent coming 'home'!!

Heres to the future!!

PS- Did you sell a house in England before you went? Did everything go smoothly when you we're still in UK...because we feel like everything is out of our hands at the moment.

Hi,

Have read you note with envy. We have been working in London for 24 years and have put the house on the market to return on closure of sale.

So, here is the question if you would mind assisting.

Did you take the household in its entirety? If so, on reflection what would you not have taken and why?

Regards
Bruce

Hi
No, we just packed 11 boxes of household bits, tools for hubby and toys for little boy plus clothes.
On reflection, i wish i had packed a lot more things and packed differently, but we did in such a hurry. It was just over 2 months from deciding to come over, getting job offer, and then packing the house up slowly before we flew a few weeks later.
Decided that we would 'start again' with furniture, etc.
Hope this helps!

Hi Sharon.

Just found your post.

So pleased to hear how happy you are. I am glad that you and yours are so positive, especially with the problems you've had with the in-laws - hope that soon resolves itself.

Hope everything continues to go well for you - I'm sure it will.

:cheers

Julie
