Well we have a bit of a lull at the moment. We have everything we need for ITA except for one letter from EWRB. Should take 6-8 weeks, has already been 5 and I called them to be told it would be at least another 5.

Still no offers on the house. Just playing the waiting game now but can't help fretting about what we will do if we don't sell. Like Speckythecky don't relish the thought of renting out, particularly as we have cream carpets and brand new fittings

Oh and also what is a "rumpus" mentioned sometimes in house details? We caused a bit of a "rumpus" last week when we made the announcement at the boys school that we were planning to emigrate:laugh

I'd think of a rumpus room as a big room, usually in the basement or downstairs. It's called that I think because they get used as least in the States for kids games & to store their big toys or where the teen-agers hang out with friends.

The realtor's description for our new house said 'rumpus room with further potential' and it's a big finished-off room in the basement. (not sure about the 'potential'. We replaced the hideous vinyl flooring with carpet at least!). In our case it's where my OH's precious surround-stereo system is set up so still possible to have a lot of rumpus :laugh

I always think of a rumpus as being a room where the kids can go and you can have some peace for an hour or two, so a play room / games room with tv and video games etc. couldn't live without my rumpus.:laugh

Just want to give you support on this, and commiseration! Hope it sells soon!

Hi,

We feel in limbo too...no offers on house...cream carpets and new fittings throughout, its getting us down facing the waiting game...feels like we are just wasting our life waiting...very difficult time at the minute, but we have to be optimistic and think we'll get there in the end.

Keep your chin up!!

We're in a lull too. We need the med reports for our to complete our ITA and the earliest we could book was July 3rd. We're still necking the benecol like mad. Our daughter had her meds two weeks ago (student, miles away) and has her reports but she needs her police check and is still 'getting around to it' despite severe nagging from me. Fingers crossed for everyone in the lull.

We're also waiting for a buyer - five viewings in three weeks and none wanted to come back. I find it extremely stressful and am already thinking about lowering the price or even putting it up at auction. OH however is ever so calm, "Don't worry, somebody will come along eventually" - yes, but eventually could mean December!
We've also handed in our ITA last week and hope they don't want any extra documents.
This waiting is horrible!

I'm so sorry that there are a few of us playing the waiting game but it sure helps to have lovely messages of support. Don't know what I would do without this forum. Good luck to all
