Can anyone advise if the RRV issued is a multiple entry visa or it just allows you to leave once and return to NZ(single entry)
Basically I would like to know if I can go in and out of NZ for any number of times till the RRV is valid (initially for 2 years)
Thanks

hmm.. good point. to be honest, I'd assumed that you could leave and re-enter the country multiple times until it expired, otherwise it would be a major hassle and I'm sure would have been mentioned on here.
Anyway, I'm sure a forum guru will clarify in the not too distant future!...:laugh

Yup.
The RRV you first get issued is valid for two years and you can come and go as many times as you want within that time. The problems occur when it expires, you fail to notice - and then go on holiday abroad! NZ Immigration will happily let you out of the country, but without an RRV, the other countries immigration people won't let you board the plane to get back to NZ - because you have no valid entry visa - and they'll be fined by NZ if they put you on the plane!
Luckily, you can get a permanent RRV without too much effort and it doesn't cost too much.
