We are coming over soon(beginning Sept if we can get flights), OH has job offer in Nelson and we would like to rent first so we can have a good look around before we buy. has anyone else been in this situation? Are rental properties easy to find in Nelson and surrounding area? ( we also have a dog - but he can live outside in kennel if he has to)I think I have found a house in Nelson that sounds ok, but not sure whether we should commit so early, with out having a look around first.

we are in almost the same situation. Arriving Nelson First week october. Probably going to rent initially. So far have found that there is not a lot of good quality rentals there and mostly the agents want you to be there in order to sign up rather than arrange over the internet.

Quinovic and Haven seem to have lots of rentals.
