Well, just like the old bus analogy, following five weeks or so of very slow movement on the employment front it all went a bit mental last week.
I ended up with two formal offers of employment on the same day :nice1 (plus one for pocket money if you include the very much appreciated offer from Kim39, sadly I couldn't take this up).
The one I have chosen to accept was supposed to start today, but there was some delay in the paperwork forming the formal contract (it needed approval from two sources, slightly complicated situation, won't bore you with it) but that's now been sorted today and I start on Thursday. Could have started tomorrow but we have a few things I'd like to sort first.
It will, I'm sure, be a complete shock to the system having to work for a living, but it's a necessary evil I suppose.
This is also my 100th post, so it's nice for it to be a positive one.
Pressure's on PinkPiggy to pull her finger out and get working now. Still, she can watch the bold and the beautiful and get the oven chips ready in the meantime ;)

Cheers for the good wished folks. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the race to catch Kim39 on the 'how many times can you quit' circus :D
Been out celebrating and bought a second car as a reward. Woo Hoo. It's the first time we've been a two car family for over three years. The bloke at the car lot couldn't believe his luck when we turned up to buy a second car off him inside a month :p
Kim, you'll get the hang of the footie, it's a marathon not sprint, a game of two halves, the boy done good etc etc etc.........:laugh

Thanks Julie. :nice1 I've got a couple of applications on the go and the possibility of doing some 'temp' work after the school holidays so hopefully won't be bored for too long. :p
It was great to meet you last week, we must do it again.

Wasn't suppoed to be working today. I was actually out buying trousers to go to work in. Three months work free has seen my waistline expand a little too much !
Anyway, I was in a trouser shop and the shop assistants couldn't get their PC to connect to their ADSL line to head office. I offered my services, which they accepted. I fixed said fault.
Did I get a discount. Sadly not. Ah well.
