Just wanted to introduce ourselves really and ask some advice :oops:
My wife and I are looking to move to New Zealand next year, got a early christmas present from NZIS..Our ITA arrived on the 24th of December so well pleased :clap
Okay my wife is a Nurse (10 years) and im finishing my Nurse training November/December 2005. We are in the UK at the moment.
We are looking at moving to Christchurch and working in Christchurch hospital. My wife has already got her NZ Nursing registration and I will apply for mine as soon as I qualify.
Just a couple of questions really.
Is there anyone here who is a Nurse, maybe in Christchurch?? If so how are the vacancy rates? Will it be relatively easy to apply for a job? As ill be newly qualified I will need to complete the post gradute course is that correct? Is it easy to get on the course? How is Nursing in NZ in general? Are there any other places in NZ were we might be better off as Nurses?
