Just wanted to ask if anyone are familiar with these areas as we are looking to move their. Is it good? Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

We chose that area for the schools, will that be okay?

Hi,

Depends if you need high schools, Avondale isnt in any zones, shirley is in the shirley boys (wouldnt touch it) and avonside girls zone (most pregnancies in chch)

Avondale is one side of the avon, shirley is kind of on the other.

Shirley has more council housing, but both are about the same people wise.

About 10 mins from town, ok areas...old

It was the High Schools we were after....was told the are pretty good :?

Is there any areas you would suggest, schools you would recommend?

I wouldn't try and sort it until you get here, then you can speak to the people at the schools and have a good look round them and make an educated choice. The estate agents are generally the ones who know which schools are good as the property prices in the areas will reflect that.
