Hey all, just wanted to throw out a tip for anyone who needs US to NZ mailing; actually it's US to anywhere else in the world! The PO has flat rate shipping, $37 bucks up to 20lbs for an approximately 18x12x4 box. I recently sent S&J a care package in Auckland that contained 5 baby outfits, a box of cookies, some baby toys, and a bunch of CDs; it only took a week to get there! Also they have flat rate envelopes that are perfect for CVs and documents that are $11US. Plus, if you buy the shipping online, you can save another buck or two. Seems a nice way to get care packages from the family once we're in NZ:)

That's good info. One of the things I'm trying to do is to gather together the various ways, costs, and times of getting things from the US to NZ, everything from a letter to shipping containers. When I get it done, I'll post it.

Personally, we're looking for how to send lots of personal things that make a house a home without having to ship lots of large, heavy items, like furniture.
