Can I apply for IRD numbers from Uk even though it asks for NZ address on the form?

Yes, it is a case of downloading the form off the website and printing it off/filling it in. Include phtocopies of birth certificates (if you have them at this stage of the application) and they allocate you numbers. As long as they know you are coming to NZ I think you should be ok. I think you just put your UK address on for the time being, it is happening all the time. Good luck!

Yes you can definitely apply for your IRD numbers from the UK - just make sure you have plenty of time. We applied for ours while in the UK and had actually moved out to NZ when they 'caught' up with us. :laugh

We're having a great time. I never lived close to my family so missing them isn't particularly a problem but I do miss my friends.

We're going out for the day to Raglan. It's about a 45 minute drive and has a lovely beach - not really beach weather but certainly warm enough for a stroll along it!

The boys are doing great - really enjoying school. In fact I've got them booked into the holiday club (2 weeks hols here) and they can't wait to start.

I am so happy to hear that. My two have come around to the idea now and are actually looking forward to the adventure. We are still hoping for Waikato but no luck on jobs in that area. I'm sure it helps to be there to gain employment. Have a lovely day out. You have warmer and better weather than the UK at the moment and it is your WINTER. It really has been awful weather here.
