Well, we just spent the morning at Gloucester Royal Hospital for X-rays - £54.50 a pop and lovely, helpful staff. Waiting area a bit cramped and exposed (in those hospital gowns at any rate) but there was a sense of Dunkirk spirit as we clambered in and out of the changing rooms. Next over to the Hadwen Medical Practice where the receptionist clearly didn't share our sense of stepping enthusiastically into the unknown and automatically thumped two specimen bottles on the counter top as she checked our names and told us how long we would have to wait and sit over there. She did the same to a family bound for Oz half an hour later so we didn't take it personally! Meds £125 each; bloods £105.

The meds went ok - friendly chatty nurses and a brilliant doc who knew exactly what he was doing - weighed, measured, checked all the boxes, took bloods (yes, it looked like an armful) prodded and listened to. Everything seemed to be where it was supposed to be, nothing new had cropped up and nothing had fallen off. So, wait for the blood results now. 7-10 days. It was quite a nice day out really. :uhoh Do I need to get out more?

That would be the same nice doctor who started asking me about the forum whilst I was lying in knickers & bra on his examination table. :laugh Whilst willing to tell him about it I wish he'd struck up a conversation before I got undressed!
