How long id it take you to get to NZ once you had your passport stamped?

We recently have been told we have our PR and have yet to sumbit our passports. I thought we should aim for March 08 as a good time scale but my husband thinks we should let our eldest finish his first year in school.

We are renting our house out here in the UK and plan to get rid of our clutter prior to flying out so we don't have to worry about shipping/containers

Thanks Berni

We got our Residency Visas in May 2005. We took a 10 day trip in March 2006 to decide on Auckland or Wellington and finally moved in August 2006.

The reason for August was purely to take advantage of free flights - when booking in January that was the first flight with 2 available airmiles seats.

As soon as we got our visas in our passports we booked our flights and left, so would say 1 month from getting our blue stickers in the passport.

I assume this is what you mean (you don't get them stamped until you arrive in NZ).

If you are planning on March time then may I suggest you actualy try to arrive end of Jan / beggining of Feb instead as this is the start of the new school year in NZ.
