Hiya guys...

Quick question, dunno if anyone may be able to help?

I hold graduate membership of the City&Guilds Institute (Middle Management) and am entitled to use the post nominal of GCGI (although I don't use it....). This is in recognition of my 22 years service in the RAF, the last 18 of which have been at management level. Formal management quals are NEBS Cert in Management and CIPD Certificate in Personnel Practice....

Would NZQA recognise any/all of these and more importantly, would it gain any points on the EOI?

Appreciate any advice...

Kind Regards

Liam (liamnrach)

Hi

My OH has a similar certification from City and Guilds, MCGI. I don't think it does because it isn't actually a qualification.

The only way to find out for definite is to apply to NZQA. Do you know how much it is for this and how long.

Let me know if you get any further on this.

Cheers

Jo

Hi

Keith had 22 years in the RAF and had what looks like the same qualification. He went to the NZQA and received NZQA Level 4 in Line Management. However, this was not enough to get us the points required. These were attained from an assessment of NVQ Level 4 (D34, D33 & D32) Assessor & Verifer qualifications) This gained us a NZQA level 5 in adult training qualification.

The NEBS Cert in Management qualification is recognised as a promotion qualification by the NZ military.

Keith is now currently a senior NCO in the NZ Army.

Let us know if you need any more info, happy to help cos we've been where you are just now and the NZQA was a biggest headache... but.... we got through it and are here and lovin it :)
