Simple question, a friend is posting DVDs to me from UK to here, can he just whack them in an airmail jiffy and post normally? Or does he need to get a customs label etc put on it?
Sorry for being dumb :roll

We got some sent just in a cardboard packet type tingy (CD box shaped would you believe), but I don't recall there being any special labelling, she just wrote 'DVD's' in biro on the back next to the senders address.
Got here hunky dory.

I believe all parcels (anything that is clearly not a letter) must state what they contain e.g. DVD. If you send it via Royal Mail, then they normally stick a little sticker on the parcel and write on the contents.
When they pass through customs, they will be scanned and if the contents don't appear to match the description then they will open the parcel to confirm.
But as BaldyBeardyBloke says, if you just get 'DVD' written on the package then it should arrive without any problems.
